A man has been arrested and booked on felony grand theft after allegedly stealing Frances McDormand's Oscar after the Academy Awards on Sunday night.
According to TMZ, the Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri star noticed
her Best Actress trophy was missing from her table at The Governor's Ball and notified security.
Thankfully, security found the swiper gold-handed and turned him into the police once they arrived. Shortly after the incident, a rep for the actress said:
"Fran and Oscar are happily reunited and are enjoying an In-N-Out burger together."
Phew.
The alleged thief was photographed with the stolen Oscar just moments before he was caught — see for yourself (below):
Security at the Governors Ball are looking for this guy, who grabbed Frances McDormand’s Oscar and ran out with it. Wolfgang Puck’s photographer stopped him, got the Oscar back, and the guy disappeared back into the ball. Apparently Frances has said to let him go. #Oscars #Drama pic.twitter.com/5tlsx4Ulwt— Cara Buckley (@caraNYT) March 5, 2018
