Shaquem Griffin is a football player from the University of Central Florida who is hoping to
play in the NFL next season — and this weekend, the linebacker is out at the NFL's Scouting Combine with a bunch of other football prospects, working out for teams in the hopes of being drafted next month.
there's one other thing about Shaquem Griffin that you should know: because of a congenital defect, he was born with only one hand. But don't think for a minute that's ever stopped his football career!
Griffin is going viral right now because, out at this NFL Combine, he's bench-pressing 225 pounds with only one hand! Superman!!!
Ch-ch-check this out on video (below)!!!

What an absolute inspiration.

At 10, Jim Abbott didn’t listen when he was told he couldn’t play baseball w/o a hand. Had a 10-year MLB career, threw a no-hitter. At 8, Shaquem Griffin didn’t listen when he was told he couldn’t play football w/o a hand. Played LB on 13-0 UCF, had 20 reps on combine bench press pic.twitter.com/dP7qcGP3fj— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) March 3, 2018
You and I have two hands, we can be useful with them. Pursue your dreams and never give up. Hope alive!!
