The U.S Department of Justice officially has demanded that Britain hand over Prince Andrew to be quizzed over his involvement  with late billionaire  Jeffrey Epstein.   The US told the UK that Prince Andrew, the Duke of York is now caught up in a criminal probe, as investigators dig up allegations that the Prince had involvement in the paedophile Epstein's historic sex trafficking network. Meanwhile, a 36 year old lady Virginia Roberts Giuffre, had alleged she had sex with Andrew on three occasions between 2001 and 2002 while underage but Andrew denies this saying he has no recollection of meeting her talk more of having sex with her.  Prince Andrew is yet to talk to New York prosecutors investigating Epstein's sex trafficking network.   According to The Sun UK, the US Department of Justice has filed a “mutual legal assistance” (MLA) request to the UK Home Office, by-passing Buckingham Palace as regards Prince Andrew's co-operation in it's investigative work.   Mutual L

A man 38 years old, Mr Simon Emeka who allegedly raped his 7-months old daughter has been arrested and at the Nigeria Correctional Service on the orders of a Makurdi Magistrate, Mr Isaac Ajim. This comes after the accused was arraigned over the alleged crime committed last Monday. Prosecutor, Sergeant Friday Kanshio informed the court that the matter was reported to the police by one Josephine Habba who said she heard of the sad incident when she went to Jestic Hospital with her child for treatment and saw one, Mrs Favour Emeka crying before a nurse that her baby was raped by her husband. The prosecutor however said investigation was yet to be completed, while the accused denied the charge against him. Ajim, who is the trial magistrate, rejected bail for the accused due to the nature of the allegation and adjourned the case to the 31st of August for further mention.

The police in Calabar have arrested a 73-year-old retired army captain for allegedly defiling his four-year-old niece, while claiming he was under the influence of alcohol.    Bassey Ekanem allegedly fingered the girl in his residence at 12, Edim Ibangha Street, Big Qua Town, Calabar. The retired army Captain, who the child refers to as grandpa, has been in the North for years before he came to Calabar after retiring from the army. In order to have the girl to himself, he subtly sent the woman living with him out of the house then allegedly assaulted the child.   A source said: “Mr Ekanem had sent the lady living with him to make soup while she went to buy fish at Marian market, Bassey lured the little girl into his apartment and started fingering her and broke her hymen in the process.
