From Rebel To a Prime Minister For The Third time Running

  After last month's election resulted in a hung parliament, a former Maoist leader who oversaw a decade-long uprising against Nepal's monarchy was chosen as prime minister for the third time in coalition with the main opposition. The opposition communist Unified Marxist-Leninist (UML) party and other relatively small organisations will support Pushpa Kamal Dahal in leading the new government for the first two years of the five-year term, according to party officials on Sunday. Pushpa Kamal Dahal continues to go by his pen name Prachanda, which means "terrible" or "fierce." President Bidhya Devi Bhandari's adviser Tika Dhakal informed the news agency Reuters that "he has been appointed and commands the support of a vast majority of parliament." Prachanda will take the oath of office on Monday and, later this week, demonstrate his majority in the 275-member house. Seven parties have formally endorsed him.

20 Czech Diplomats Expelled From Russia

  20 Czech diplomats were on Sunday Expelled from Russia in retaliation for a slew of diplomatic expulsions by Prague and gave the affected Czech diplomats just over 24 hours to leave the country, the RIA news agency quoted the foreign ministry as saying. Recall that the Czech Republic on Saturday Expelled 18 Russian diplomats, giving them 72 hours to leave, after saying that two alleged Russian spies accused of a nerve agent poisoning in Britain in 2018 were behind a deadly explosion at a Czech ammunition depot four years earlier. The Czech Republic said it had notified NATO and European Union allies that it suspected Russia of causing the 2014 blast, and European Union foreign ministers were set to discuss the matter at their meeting on Monday.

FRAUD: Former Governor Arrested By The EFCC

  The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday arrested the former Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, over alleged money laundering. The ex Governor was arrested at his office in Abuja. Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson for the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, told Vanguard that the news was true. “Okorocha has been arrested by our men”, he said in a telephone chat.

  The tragic incident occurred at about 7 p.m. on Friday April 9, at a mining site belonging to Cabitex Company, where gunmen suspected to be Fulani militia killed eight workers in Kuru, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State. Dalyop Mwantiri, of Emancipation Centre for Crisis Victims in Nigeria (ECCVN) , a non-governmental organisation based in Plateau, who confirmed the incident, gave the names of the victims as:  Mrs. Talatu Sunday, Mrs. Jumai Useini, Mr. Davou Dalyop Pwol (beheaded) Mr. Gyang Joseph Nyam.
