Breaking News: Unknown Gunmen Has Attacked The Country Home Of Imo State Governor

Governor Hope Uzodinma's country home in orlu Imo state has been attacked by unknown gunmen.  It was gathered they invaded the Governor’s residence in Omuma in Oru East Local Government Area in early hours of Saturday. They reportedly killed two security men on duty before torching it. It was also learnt vehicles parked at the compound and part of the building were affected by the fire. Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, confirmed the incident. According to him: “It is true but the information is not still clear. It is not true that several security men lost their lives. About two security men on duty at the governor’s house were killed. NSCDC personnel was among the security men who lost their lives during the attack.” Full details soon......  

20 Czech Diplomats Expelled From Russia

  20 Czech diplomats were on Sunday Expelled from Russia in retaliation for a slew of diplomatic expulsions by Prague and gave the affected Czech diplomats just over 24 hours to leave the country, the RIA news agency quoted the foreign ministry as saying. Recall that the Czech Republic on Saturday Expelled 18 Russian diplomats, giving them 72 hours to leave, after saying that two alleged Russian spies accused of a nerve agent poisoning in Britain in 2018 were behind a deadly explosion at a Czech ammunition depot four years earlier. The Czech Republic said it had notified NATO and European Union allies that it suspected Russia of causing the 2014 blast, and European Union foreign ministers were set to discuss the matter at their meeting on Monday.

China Attacks Pope Francis

  The Chinese government has faulted Pope Francis over a passage in his new book in which he mentions the suffering of China’s Uighur Muslim minority group, saying his remarks have “no factual basis at all”. Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said at a daily news briefing in Beijing on Tuesday that  “People of all ethnic groups enjoy the full rights of survival, development, and freedom of religious belief.” But  Zhao made no mention of the camps in which more than a million Uighurs and members of other Chinese Muslim minority groups are reported to be held. Other governments,  human rights groups and The  United States, says the prison-like facilities are intended to separate Muslims from their religious and cultural heritage, forcing them to declare loyalty to China’s ruling Communist Party and its leader, Xi Jinping.
