What Elon Musk Plans To Do After Staking $41 Billion On Twitter.

The exact words of Elon Musk below: “I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy.  However, since making my investment I now realize the company will neither thrive nor serve this societal imperative in its current form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company . As a result, I am offering to buy 100% of Twitter for $54.20 per share in cash, a 54% premium over the day before I began investing in Twitter and a 38% premium over the day before my investment was publicly announced. My offer is my best and final offer and if it is not accepted, I would need to reconsider my position as a shareholder." Tesla CEO offered $54.20 per share, this was made known in a regulatory filing on the 14th of April, and the stake represents a 38% premium to Twitter’s April 1 close. $14.39 billion was the total money Elon Musk offered to pay to acquir

Trump's Twitter Account Banned For Life, Twitter CFO Confirms

Donald Trump will no longer be permitted back on Twitter even if he runs again for office and wins, according to the company's chief financial officer. Asked during an interview on CNBC Wednesday whether Trump's tweeting privileges could be restored if he wins the presidency again, CFO Ned Segal clarified that Trump's ban is permanent. "The way our policies work, when you're removed from the platform, you're removed from the platform," he said, "whether you're a commentator, you're a CFO, or you are a former or current public official. Remember, our policies are designed to make sure that people are not inciting violence, and if anybody does that, we have to remove them from the service and our policies don't allow people to come back." The statement comes amid Trump's impeachment trial in Congress. If he is acquitted, Trump would not be barred from seeking the presidency or another federal office. Twitter took the unprecedent

The Chinese US Embassy Account Locked By Twitter

The big-tech giant(Twitter) has locked the account of China’s embassy in the United States for a social media post that defended China’s policies towards Muslim Uighurs in the Xinjiang region, which the platform said violated the firm’s policy against “dehumanisation”. The Chinese Embassy account, @ChineseEmbinUS, posted a tweet this month that said that Uighur women were no longer “baby making machines,” citing a study reported by state-backed newspaper, China Daily. The tweet was removed by Twitter and replaced by a label stating that it was no longer available. Although Twitter hides tweets that violate its policies, it requires account owners to manually delete such posts. The Chinese embassy’s account has not posted any new tweets since January 9. The suspension of the embassy’s account came a day after the Trump administration, in its final hours, accused China of committing genocide in Xinjiang, a finding endorsed by the incoming Biden administration. Mr President Flagged Again By Twitter After Tweeting False Claim That He's Not Contagious And ls Now Immune To COVID-19

Twitter again flagged one of Trump's tweets for violating their rules on spreading misinformation about COVID-19. This time it was because of his false and dangerous claim that he is now immune to the coronavirus and can no longer spread it. In the tweet, he wrote, "A total and complete sign off from White House Doctors yesterday. That means I can’t get it (immune), and can’t give it. Very nice to know!!!" The letter from the doctors he is referring to was issued on Saturday night and does not explicitly say that the president tested negativefor the virus. The warning labels, which also make it impossible for the tweet to be retweeted, are a fairly toothless rebuke. They've also deleted posts and other tweets the president has shared. Still, the platform has long resisted calls to ban the president entirely from tweeting. However, while Twitter has stepped up their corrective actions against the president's habit of making false claims in recent months, they see
