Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Trademark Application Rejected

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's application to trademark their new charitable organisation Archewell has been rejected. Documents seen by The Sun UK reveal that Harry and Meghan's application was turned down because they did not sign the document and they did not pay all the required fees. The paperwork, which was submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on March 3, was also said to be "too vague". The couple, whose documents were filed by the Delaware-based law firm Cobblestone Lane LLC, have since been sent an "Irregularity Notice" by the patent examiner at the USPTO.   The examiner was asked to review the application for the non-profit organisation, which the couple had hoped to launch this year, on May 26 and has since sent a number of changes which need to be made by their lawyer, Marjorie Witter Norman, by August 22.   The notice reads: "The wording 'providing a website featuring content relating to philanthropy, mon

This New WhatsApp Feature Will Wow You

In a post on the WhatsApp blog, the company has announced that digital payments for people and small businesses have just started. That is to say that  WhatsApp now has a new big feature, which is person-to-person payments. It’s just gone live in the past few hours, though only in one country right now: Brazil. Brazil for now is only the first step, obviously, and although no promises have been made of the feature making its way north to the U.S. or to other countries, it’s highly likely it will. This mirrors the way WhatsApp became so dominant in the first place - its multi-platform presence. Brilliant though the Messages app on iPhone is - and even though it’s probably about to see  a big upgrade announced by Apple in the coming days, its best experience is across Apple devices. Features such as invisible ink text, animated balloons and more are only visible on iPhone and iPad, for instance.

Carrera Believes That Atalanta Can Win Serie A Next Season

Massimo Carrera believes Atalanta can win the Serie A title next season with two or three "quality signings" as he hailed Gian Piero Gasperini's team. Atalanta have become the great entertainers of Italian and European football under head coach Gasperini, scoring a Serie A-high 70 goals through 25 matches before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. No Serie A team scored more goals last season as Atalanta finished third to qualify for the Champions League for the first time – the Bergamo-based side reached the quarter-finals in Europe prior to the COVID-19 crisis. Led by Papu Gomez and Josip Ilicic, Atalanta are fourth in the standings and occupy the final Champions League spot as they prepare to resume their 2019-20 Serie A season against Sassuolo on Sunday. Asked if Atalanta can challenge for the Scudetto next season, former defender Carrera – who captained the club before leaving for Napoli in 2003 – told Stats Perform News: "Why n

Facebook Has Added A Second Layer Of Protection To Messenger's Inbox, Making It More Secured With Face ID

Messenger -- Facebook is really trying to make it private (that only you and Facebook should have access to the theoretically private conversations contained within).   Facebook is testing new ways to secure its app, specifically on an unspecified number of iOS devices, the social-media giant has added a second layer of protection to Messenger's inbox. If enabled, users will need to either re-enter their passcode, or engage Touch ID or Face ID before they can read all their juicy messages.  This is the idea behind the change -- If someone gets access to your unlocked device, this security feature provides an additional barrier that will prevent the bad actor from reading your Messenger messages. Engadget was able to get a statement from a Facebook spokesperson, although there's not much there.  The spokesperson said, "We want to give people more choices and controls to protect their private messages, and recently, we began testing a feature that lets you unlock the Messeng

What Trump Is Doing To The Transgender People

As reported by NBC -- An Obama admin regulation which makes it illegal for healthcare providers and insurance policies covered under the Affordable Care Act to discriminate against transgender people, was on Friday, reversed by the government.  The rules  defines gender identity as "male or female and as determined by biology," not, as the Obama administration put it, “one’s internal sense of gender, which may be male, female, neither, or a combination of male and female.” It's set to take effect in mid-August, NPR reported.  What this means is that they could be denied treatment for ovarian cancer, or an insurer might not cover a hysterectomy or even up the price if the procedure is related to the patient's gender transition, according to NPR.
